Colin McRae currently sits fifth in the all-time World Rally Championship winners’ lists with 25 victories, but no matter how many drivers come to beat that tally in the years ahead, McRae will always be one of the greatest and, in his prime, the fastest of his era. In 1992, driving a Subaru Legacy on a part-time schedule, he scored his first podium, and in ’93 in New Zealand he took his first victory. But it was the Subaru Impreza that cemented his legacy. Wins in New Zealand and Great Britain in 1994 took him to fourth in points, and winning at the same venues in ’95 and backing these up with two second places and a third took him to the WRC title glory. Our poster depicts his championship winning drive to victory in Britain, after an epic duel with his legendary teammate Carlos Sainz.
