Greg Moore 1999 Detroit Poster
Regular price
$26.00
One of the greatest prematurely-lost talents of the past 30 years, Greg Moore died at Fontana on Oct. 31, 1999 in his final Indy car race for the Forsythe Championship Racing team. Such had been the impression he had made in his four seasons in CART, he had been signed by Roger Penske for 2000.
Having put together the greatest Indy Lights season in history in 1995, Moore scored two podium finishes in his first five Indy car races in a Forsythe-run Reynard-Mercedes in ’96. And then despite his obviously burgeoning potential being stymied by Mercedes-Benz falling off the power curve set by the likes of Honda and Ford, Moore was still able to rack up five wins and five pole positions over the next three seasons. Hence the call from The Captain. Our image captures him on his way to his final podium finish, at Detroit in ’99
