Paul Laguette — 1970 “Hippie Car” Scarf Homage
Fifty years ago, the colorful 917 “Hippie Car” finished second in the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans. To celebrate “Le Psychedelic’s” memorable one-off, a limited-edition and still highly sought-after silk scarf was snapped up by a lucky few fashionistas and collectors. Now, artist and graphic designer Paul Laguette has reproduced the bold colors, sharp details and multiple driver signatures of the original. Paul’s stunning interpretation is printed on fade-resistant nylon and is suitable for framing. The original scarf measured 31in. x 31in., but this reproduction measures 32in. x 32in. to perfectly fit a standard-sized frame. (Framed Sample Pictured)

* The scarf originally came in four different color variants – all suitably psychedelic, of course. While Paul has only ever seen three variants (pictured: purple and blue), his fertile imagination has filled in the gaps and all four color combinations are available for purchase.
