Lowenbrau Porsche 962 Poster

For European fans of Group C, the classic Porsche 962 colorscheme is the Rothmans one, used by the works cars. But for American fans, this Al Holbert Racing Lowenbrau livery is the most significant, portraying as it does a mid-’80s marvel in colors that emphasize its svelte lines. Al Holbert captured the 1985 and ’86 IMSA GTP championships in this car, and took the ’86 and ’87 Daytona 24 Hours, accompanied in the former by regular IMSA co-driver Derek Bell and Al Unser Jr., and in the latter eventer by Bell, Chip Robinson and Unser Jr. RACER’s in-house artist Paul Laguette captures one of the greatest car-driver combos in U.S. motorsport history.
